The British rock band are guests at the House of Sant’Agata ahead of the Firenze Rocks concert

Sant’Agata Bolognese, June 17, 2022 – Is there a difference between a concert in front of thousands of people and driving a supercar? According to Muse, one of the most iconic rock bands of our time, that doesn’t seem to be the case. The British band indeed have an irrepressible passion for Lamborghini, and it’s the members themselves who say: “Driving a Lamborghini is like being on stage“. Perhaps that’s why lead singer/guitarist Matt Bellamy and drummer Dom Howard decided to visit Sant’Agata Bolognese’s headquarters and drive a Huracán STO at the Modena circuit ahead of their performance at Firenze Rocks on June 17th.

Muse have a real passion for Lamborghini. The band used a Countach in the video for their 2018 track “Something Human”. And in 2019 they had already visited the company headquarters and hit the track to try out the supercars.

It was all very exciting: it’s the same kind of emotion and adrenaline rush that we get when we perform.” commented Bellamy and Howard at the end of the ride.

And when asked about their favorite models, the answers were clear: “The original Countach, but if we had to pick one model today, it would be the Aventador.” They also had clear ideas about a possible itinerary: “However, if we were going on a road trip, we would choose a Huracán Spyder and the location could be the American Pacific coast, specifically Malibu, or with an STO it could be southern Europe, specifically the Italian coast.” There is no doubt about the accompanying music either: “As a soundtrack, Jimi Hendrix or Daft Punk would be perfect.”

Muse are Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme. Their last album, Simulation Theory, debuted at number 1, marking the band’s sixth consecutive album to debut at the UK number one. Their previous studio album Drones won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in February 2016, the band’s second. Since forming in 1994, Muse have released eight studio albums and have sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Her latest album Will of the People will be released on August 26thth. Widely recognized as one of the best live bands in the world, Muse have won numerous music awards including two Grammy Awards, one American Music Award, five MTV Europe Music Awards, two Brit Awards, eleven NME Awards and seven Q Awards, among others.

Their lyrics often deal with current affairs and politics, and they are acclaimed by audiences for their live performances, which are a true concentration of energy and power, much like a Lamborghini car.
